Editor Kellie Long joined the staff of the St. Clair Times in 2003. She is a1994 graduate of The University of Alabama. She works the city/county government beat as well as the police and commerce areas. She is known for her columns about her German shepherd dogs, Shado and Sable. Kellie is also a member of the Board of Directors for the Animal Shelter of Pell City, Inc. where she chairs a committee for the annual Fur Ball fundraiser. Associate Editor Gary Hanner has been with the St. Clair Times since the beginning. He covers city governmental bodies and the county school board, as well as school activities. His focus, however, is on local sports. Many readers are used to seeing him pacing the sidelines during football, baseball, and basketball seasons. Gary is a familiar face in St. Clair County. He was born and raised in Riverside where he lives with his family. He also enjoys visiting senior centers across the county to entertain with his stunning voice.
