While I do not care about bingo or gambling one way or the other and am not an avid gambler, I do care about the jobs it gives people, especially in these hard economic times.
The anti bingo/gambling crowd refuses to understand that grown people do what grown people want to do, if not in Alabama then in other states. No one makes them play bingo/gamble; they have free will.
Grown people, even in the anti bingo/gambling crowd, do not appreciate other grown-ups prying into their personal lives and business. Greenetrack is just the latest example of killing jobs by busy bodies so they can feel self-important both politically and religiously.
How many of the people who have lost jobs in the bingo/gambling industry end up on unemployment and eventually welfare and every other government social program under the sun? How much tax money has your local government lost because those jobs no longer exist?
These very same people are the ones who whimper and whine about high taxes and too many people on the welfare rolls yet they try to stop people from having those jobs. In the future when your paycheck or Social Security check is cut and you are paying more and more in taxes to help support those who had those jobs please don’t complain and share your misery with us.
You had a chance to relieve your own financial tax burden, yet refused to help yourselves.
