“Logan Martin Lake has essentially been at full summer pool since May 7,” said Brandon Glover, a spokesman with Alabama Power Company.
Logan Martin Lake was originally scheduled to reach summer pool May 9.
Glover said Monday the lake was slightly under the summer pool level of 465 feet.
“It has been within a few tenths of 465 feet at the midnight elevation for the past three days (since May 7),” he said. “If it is within a few tenths (of 465 feet), it is essentially at summer pool.”
Glover said minor changes in the lake level are due to evaporation.
“We are at our normal summer operations at this point,” he said. “Everything has gone smoothly with no problems.”
Glover said the lake is likely to remain just under 465 feet.
“Anytime it goes above 465 feet, we are in our flood control management procedures,” he said.
