St. Clair County softball champ will be determined Saturday

The 2010 St. Clair County Softball Tournament gets under way Friday at Ragland’s Campbell-Champion Field. Three games will be played Friday, with at least six games slated to be played Saturday in the double-elimination tournament.

Action gets started Friday at 4 p.m., as the Lady Saints from St. Clair County High School take on Ashville.

At 6 p.m., Moody, which as won the tournament the past two years, battles Springville.

At 8 p.m. Ragland will square off with the SCCHS/Ashville winner.

On Saturday, games begin at 9 a.m. with a loser’s bracket elimination contest. Games continue to be played at 11 a.m., 1 p.m., 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. until a winner is crowned.

A Game 9 will be played at 7 p.m. if necessary.
