Ragland, Ashville headed to regionals

The Ashville girls and the Ragland girls are headed to the Northeast Regional Basketball Tournament on the campus of Jacksonville State University.

The Lady Bulldogs defeated Saks 53-44 Thursday as Jacie Tipton scored 14 points to lead the way. Kim Fuller added 11 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. Ashville is now 28-2 on the season and will play DAR Thursday at 9 a.m.

Ragland had a much easier time as they defeated Holy Family 61-34. Paige Gann scored 21 points while Kailey Echols added 11 points. Ragland, 19-11 overall, will play Gaston Tuesday at 3 p.m.
