When officials of the City of Moody decided years ago to build a park, it was a special one indeed.
Called the Moody Miracle League, it offered a place for special needs athletes and their families to have a place designed especially for them.
And now, it is the centerpiece of the Moody Park, earning the city an award from the Alabama League of Municipalities. Moody will be receiving the 2010 Municipal Quality of Life Award at the League’s annual convention in Mobile in the spring.
Moody is deserving of the recognition because of its officials’ attention to serving all parts of the community, ensuring that all have the best quality of life possible.
The park represents that notion, and we congratulate all involved for their work in ensuring that Moody’s good quality of life is one in which all its citizens share.
