St. Clair County Coroner Dennis Russell identified the victim as Amanda “Mandy” Sisson Cole, 34.
Russell said the accident happened at about 5:10 p.m. at the intersection of Church Street and U.S. 411 in Moody.
Russell said Cole’s vehicle was struck by a pickup truck as she pulled out of Church Street, north on U.S. 411 in Moody.
Russell said two children were in Cole’s vehicle at the time of the accident. One child was flown by Lifesaver helicopter to Children’s Hospital in Birmingham, while the other child was transported to the hospital by ambulance.
Russell said according to family members, the children’s injuries were not life-threatening.
