Gann will have the opportunity to add to that point total as she is only a junior and basically still has two full seasons remaining as a member of the basketball team.
Gann believes she is the first Lady Purple Devil in the history of the school to score 1,000 points.
“It feels good and I am very proud,” Gann said.
The 17-year-old Gann and her teammates are looking forward to getting back to the Northeast Regionals again this year on the campus of Jacksonville State University.
Last year, while practicing for the sub-regionals and regionals, Gann broke the ring finger on her shooting hand. She had surgery and had a steel plate with 8 screws inserted. Needless to say she missed the playoffs.
“I am now back to 100 percent,” Gann said. “I hope to go on to college and play basketball. I also play softball but basketball is my favorite sport.
