Christy Wilson, who had been paralyzed in an automobile accident 12 years ago, was being cared for by her mother, Laura Wilson, in an aging trailer that had fallen into disrepair. With little money to take care of even the basics, there was nothing to make things more livable for Christy.
For 12 years, she couldn’t go outside or even leave her room because they couldn’t afford the equipment.
But the community came together, raised funds to build them a new house and donated equipment that will enable her to live a better life.
We salute their efforts. They saw a need in their community, and they filled it through their compassion and their generosity.
