St. Clair Times - Church welcomes new pastor

Dr. David F. Roberts is the new bi-vocational pastor of New Hopewell Baptist Church in Ashville. He received his Doctor of Pastoral Ministry and his Doctor of Christian Counseling from Covington Theological Seminary in Rossville, GA. He has pastored six churches in Alabama. In August 2006, he resigned as pastor of Gladeview Baptist Church in Anniston to open his own counseling service, Morning Star Ministries, Inc. in Anniston.

He and his wife, Faye, have been married for thirty-three years and have two children and three grandchildren.
