Ashville ends season with 22-14 win over Ranburne

The Ashville Bulldogs ended the season on a high note on Friday, as they defeated Ranburne, 22-14.
 
Quarterback E.J. Moss ran for two scores and passed for another to lead the Bulldogs.
 
After a scoreless first quarter, Ashville took the lead on a two-yard run by Moss. With the two-point conversion, the Bulldogs were up 8-0.
 
Ranburne tied the game at 8-8 at halftime, and eventually took the lead in the third quarter, 14-8. 
 
Ashville fought from behind to win the game.
 
Moss scored on a five-yard run in the third quarter to give Ashville a 15-14 lead. The Bulldogs secured the victory in the fourth quarter when Moss threw a four-yard touchdown pass to Ethan Fuller to make the final score 22-14.
 
Moss finished the game with 120 yards rushing and 115 yards through the air.
 
Ashville ended the season with a record of 3-7.
 
“This was a good win for the players,” Ashville head coach Mark O’Bryant said. “I am already looking forward to next year. 
 
“We have an offseason program second to none. We will get them in the weight room soon.”
