Letter: Good deed did not go unnoticed

I would like to tell you about what a Good Samaritan did for me Saturday, July 28.

I had just pulled up to a gas station on U.S. 411 in Moody. I went to pay for $20 worth of gas.  The cashier said, “Well that is odd there is already $20.00 paid on this pump.”

The cashier asked me to go and see if I could pump gas. To my surprise it did pump; I immediately told the cashier and he said, “It is your lucky day.” The customer previous to me paid for gas but did not pump it all, so I was given $20 free in gas.

To the good Samaritan who did this, you do not know what that meant to me. Being a single mom of a teenage boy, money is tight and I was so worried how I was going to get a few groceries and get gas to last the week.

I would like to send out a wonderful “thank you” to the person who paid for an extra $20 in gas but let someone who desperately needed this gas have it.

In today’s society where people do not seem to care to help out another struggling human being this person did that. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for what you did. I hope you are reading this right now.
