Mary Ellen Sparks is a new freelance writer who will be sharing her amazing story as she signs her book “Candy Kisses, My Miracle from God” at the Odenville Library July 27 from 4 to 6 p.m.
Sparks describes her book as a very emotional, powerful, tear jerking, faith-driven book with a happy ending. It’s a true story about her 12-year old daughter, Candy, who battled three life threatening illnesses. Candy actually died for about five minutes and had to have her heart shocked back to beating.
The journey tells how a whole community joined together in prayer with their faith in God and carried this family to a miracle.
People are reading this book then coming back to buy additional copies to give away as Christmas gifts or give/mail to people they know who are going through all types of crises, illnesses and personal challenges.
“If you want to see how good God is, look at my Candy Kisses and read this book,” Sparks said. “The book offers hope. It shows how God uses many people, in so many different ways to bring this miracle together. All the pieces fit together to accomplish God’s will.”
Cost of the book at the library signing will be $14, which includes $2 being donated to the library. The book is also available online at Amazon and coming soon to Christian bookstores nationwide.
