Along with last weekend’s observance of the one-year anniversary of the tornadoes that caused so much death and destruction on April 27, 2011, people who love the Valley came together to raise money to help toward recovery. Among that was $7,500, to go towards construction of storm shelters that will serve the people in case of another disaster.
Recovery, hope … and preparedness. The people of Shoal Creek Valley should be proud. And so are we all.
