Librarians from across the state met with their local legislators to thank them for their support.

Alabama Library Legislative Day 2012 took place April 3 from 10 a.m.-3 p.m., on the sixth floor of the Alabama State House. The Alabama Public Library Service, Alabama Library Association, Public Library Division of the Alabama Library Association, and Public Library Director’s Council of Alabama sponsored the event.

The day was a chance for St. Clair County Libraries to thank their legislators for their continued support of local libraries. Additionally, librarians shared stories about strengthening their communities by helping Alabama citizens find jobs and improve literacy.
