Letter: Too many to thank after disaster in Valley

Seems there is a little controversy over a tornado reminder, a sign.

Let me share a secret with you and your readers: we remember the day we had our lives changed by a tornado. We all have a story to tell.

We all have volunteers, friends, family, volunteer firemen to thank. We will never be able to thank them enough for all they did after the storm. We could not have done any recovery without them.

But a year later we have so much to be thankful for. We still tear up when we talk about that day, but we look up on our mountain and see green everywhere and dogwoods in bloom by the thousands.

Please do not let a few divide us. Tell them to quit stirring up controversy so that we can enjoy the recovery taking place each day in our Valley.
