Whitney Head is a senior at Moody High School. She is the 18-year-old daughter of Ray and Mellony King of Moody and Morgan Head of Lincoln. She has two brothers, Brandon, 21, a 2009 graduate of Moody High School, and Jacob, 14, a freshman at Moody High School.

Head started attending Moody Elementary School in the third grade. Before that, she attended Eden Elementary School from kindergarten through second grade.

Her favorite subject is history while her favorite teacher is Jill Yancy. Her GPA is 2.9.

Hobbies include anything to do with the outdoors.

“I love the outside, and I love going to the lake,” Head said. “I love to deer hunt, and I’m still looking for my first buck. I also love to fish.”

At MHS, Whitney is involved with the yearbook staff, prom committee, and anything to do with the senior class.

Her advice to younger students is to stay involved in school.

“Stay involved with what your interests are, like sports, clubs, etc.,” she said. “It makes it interesting, and makes school easier.”

After high school, Whitney plans on going to college, and she has narrowed it down to either Shelton State Community College or Jacksonville State University. She wants to major in broadcast journalism.
