The situation in the land of Israel was not a “squatter’s rights” situation, and should not have been viewed as such by the Muslims. This covenant land was given to the descendants of Jacob (Israel) by God Himself.
If someone encroaches onto someone else’s land, builds himself a farm on it and then is forced to leave, should he be compensated for his wrongdoing? I think not.
