The tornados on April 27, 2011, brought the best in humanity to light. Hundreds of volunteers showed up to help victims. We at one time had more than 20 volunteers cutting fallen trees and cleaning the driveways on our property. Thanks to all those from our hearts.
For those not touched by this disaster, one lesson can be learned. Find out how insurance companies responded. Some showed up immediately to assist, but other victims are still waiting for a response from their insurance. Ask victims about their experience, and then take action if your insurance company was one of those that are dragging their feet.
