The SCBA is working with organizations such as Carpenters for Christ and Extreme Ministries to form a rebuild project that would rebuild homes for residents of St. Clair County.
“We have a Katrina-like tragedy in St. Clair County,” said Ben Chandler, director of missions for the St. Clair Baptist Association.
Chandler said that the rebuild project is a good way for the people of St. Clair County to help their neighbors.
The rebuild project is scheduled to begin on June 6, and will continue through June 25.
“We want to minister to neighbors in our county, and preach them the love of Christ through the rebuild program,” Chandler said.
Those in need of their home being rebuilt will have an opportunity to sign up at Greensport Baptist Church located at 9260 Shoal Creek Road. The sign-up date is 3-9 p.m. today.
