The third annual Frozen Feet 5K will be held in Pell City on Dec. 18.

Sponsored by the Pell City Auxiliary Winter Guard, the 5K will feature a new course in 2010. While previously held near Pell City High School, this year’s version of the Frozen Feet 5K will start and end at the Pell City Civic Center.

The race will have holiday spirit throughout, as the overall male and female winner will break through wrapping paper at the finish line. Christmas music will be playing all around the course and the area also feature holiday decorations.

Registration is $17 until Dec. 11 and $20 on race day from 6:30 a.m. until 7:45 a.m.

The top three overall male and female finishers will be awarded trophies while the top three finishers from each age group will receive medals.

Participants can pick up their race packets at the Pell City Band Hall at Pell City High School from 5 p.m.-7 p.m. on Dec. 17. Runners can also register at that time.

The 5K will begin at 8 a.m. Dec. 18.
