Jasmine Hare is an eighth-grade student at Odenville Middle School. This is her first year at OMS.

Hare started her education career in York, Ala., at York West End Elementary School. She was there from kindergarten through fourth-grade.

She then moved to Meridian, Miss. and went to school there three years.

She is the 14-year-old daughter of Haze and Tesa Hare of Odenville. She has four brothers and three sisters.

Her favorite subject is Math while her favorite teacher is Betty Gunn. She makes all A’s and B’s.

Hobbies include playing basketball with the girls, running track and playing volleyball. She is a member of the OMS girls basketball team.

When she grows up, she would like to either play pro basketball with the WNBA or be a pediatrician. Her dream is to play college basketball with the Lady Vols from the University of Tennessee.

Her advice to younger students is to set goals and follow their dreams.

“Don’t allow anyone to pull them down,” Hare said.
