The St. Clair County All-County Football Team for 2012 has been named.
Twenty-eight players were named to the First Team, including the Offensive and Defensive MVPs.
Coaches of the Year went to Ragland’s Jonathan Nix, and Moody’s Jay Brown.
Nix led the Purple Devils to a 10-1 season, a region title and a trip to the first round of the state playoffs in his first year as head coach.
In his second year as head coach of the Blue Devils, Brown turned the team around from a 1-9 season his first year to a 6-4 season.
St. Clair County Saints running back Kartez Carr was named Offensive Player of the Year while Defensive Players of the Year were Ragland’s Devane Brewster and Moody’s Curtis Nichols.
FIRST TEAM
From Ashville were E.J. Moss, Damien Bothwell, Blake Williams, Jordan Looney and Josh Daniels.
From Moody were Trevor Staggs, Dee Williams, Michael Barron, Josh Morgan and C.J. Doss.
From Ragland were KiJana Lindsay, Sawyer Merritt, Jimmy Brock, Jesse Corn and Jaylen Brewster.
From Springville were Jay Lipscomb, Zac Mayo, Julius Miller, Tyler Sumpter and Deondre Woody.
From SCCHS were Matt Hicks, Josh Hardrick, Billy Kirby, Levi Green and Justin Armstrong.
