The Springville Lady Tigers are 9-10 on the season after going 3-2 at the Gulf Shores Tournament during Spring Break, 1-1 at the Whitney Wise Memorial Tournament and beating Clay-Chalkville Monday.

Sparkman 2, Springville 1

The Lady Tigers fell to Sparkman 2-1. Savannah Caswell lost the game and fell to 5-5 on the season.

She worked four innings and gave up two runs on five hits. Only one of the runs was earned. She walked two and struck out one.

McKinley Tribble drove in the only run for Springville as she knocked in Danyelle Martin. Kolyn Kyser had a double.

Cordova 4, Springville 2

In the second game, Springville lost to Cordova 4-2.

Caswell was the losing pitcher as she gave up four runs on five hits in four innings. Only one of the runs was earned. She walked one and struck out one.

Sydne Waldrop, Kari Gipson, Tribble, and Baleigh Swaney all had a hit while Hayden Henderson and Tribble scored the two runs.

Springville 6, Fairview 5

The Lady Tigers picked up their first win at Gulf Shores, beating Fairview 6-5.

Caswell was the winning pitcher and improved to 6-6 on the season. She worked three innings and gave up four funs on six hits. Henderson picked up the save going one inning and giving up one run on two hits. She walked one and struck out one.

Martin led the Lady Tigers at the plate with a three-run home run. Gipson had a hit, drove in a run and scored twice while Henderson doubled and scored two runs. Swaney had an RBI single.

Springville 18, Tallassee 1

Anna Naylor picked up her first win of the season as Springville easily defeated Tallassee 18-1 in three innings. Naylor gave up one run on three hits and walked one.

Kyser had three doubles and drove in six runs. She also scored three runs. Henderson also had three hits and scored three times while driving in two runs.

Martin and Swaney had two hits each, scored two runs each and drove in two runs each. Tribble had two doubles and drove in a run.

Springville 10, Northmont 0

The Lady Tigers beat a team from Ohio, 10-0 as Naylor improved to 2-0 on the season. She worked five innings and gave up four hits. She walked one and struck out two.

Gipson had three hits, including a double and home run and drove in four runs. Waldrop, Henderson, and Kyser all had two hits each.

Etowah 3, Springville 1

Back home at the Whitney Wise Memorial Tournament, the Lady Tigers lost to Etowah 3-1. Naylor lost for the first time this season as she gave up three runs on four hits in five innings. She walked two and struck out five.

Gipson, Martin, Ashlyn Perrin and Bailey King each had a hit.

SCCHS 4, Springville 3

In the second game, Springville lost to the St. Clair County Lady Saints 4-3. Naylor fell to 2-2 as she gave up four runs on eight hits in four innings of work. She struck out two.

Waldrop had two hits and scored a run while Perrin and Brittany Burton had one hit each.

Springville 7, Clay-Chalkville 3

This past Monday, Springville got back on the winning track with a 7-3 victory over Clay-Chalkville.

Naylor picked up the win and improved to 3-2. She tossed a complete game and gave up three runs on seven hits. Only one of the runs was earned. She walked two and struck out four.

Henderson led Springville with three hits and she scored two runs. Bailey Tribble had one hit, scored a run and drove in another while Waldrop had two hits and two RBIs. Gipson had an RBI double while Swaney and Alex Bailey had two hits each.
