LEEDS - On Saturday, weather permitting, beginning at approximately 7 a.m., the Alabama Department of Transportation will continue repairing a collapsed storm drainage pipe, located along Ala. 25 (Dunavant Road) southbound, near milepost 167.5, just north of Elliott Lane, in the City of Leeds.

The culvert repairs will require single lane closure of State Route 25 (Dunavant Road), just north of Elliott Lane, while the repairs are being made.

The work will begin in the southbound lane, using a single lane closure with flagmen to alternate traffic on the remaining open lane. If necessary, the work will continue in the northbound lane utilizing the same procedure. All traffic lanes will be reopened by 5 p.m., if at all possible.

This work will be completed as soon as possible, dependent on weather conditions, work progress and other unforeseen roadway contingencies.

Motorists are requested to consider using alternate routes, adjust arrival/departure times, observe work zone speed limits and other work zone signs, and use extreme caution and expect delays, in this area.
