As Trussville’s new high school nears completion, it is understandable that the Board of Education’s agenda is usually a packed one.But in a city growing at the pace of Trussville, the board is dealing with issues facing all of its schools. Removing portable classrooms at Paine that have been handling overloaded school rolls and turning the current high school into a middle school are among the many and varied problems with which members have been grappling.
And they appear to be handling each with considered thought and visionary planning. We commend the board for its attention to detail while envisioning a future that will benefit all of its students.
The work they do is often thankless, but we did not want to miss the opportunity to give them their well deserved due.
