Tip of the hat

05-07-2008

Since the beginnings of Honda Manufacturing of Alabama at its plant in Lincoln, the company’s sphere of positive impact has been far reaching into multiple counties surrounding it.

The company has done that not only with the thousands of jobs it provides but with its support in a number of communities to help build a better future.

Such is the case with the donation of a $500,000 paint booth to the St. Clair County School System, where it will be installed at the Eden Career Technical Center.

Not only is it a generous gift, it represents a two-fold opportunity — one, to help students there learn a valuable trade, and two, to help prepare students to fill a need at places like Honda and other automotive facilities.

We commend the partnership between Honda and the school system, knowing that it will be of great benefit to the students as they prepare for life outside the classroom.
