It is encouraging to see the City of Leeds and the St. Clair County Commission partnering to bring about improvements for the future. The commission approved paying half of the improvements planned for A.E. Moore Drive and then let Leeds handle maintenance, repair and upkeep. The move is expected to spur more growth in the L&M Cooperative District, which involves Moody, Leeds and the county, and the end result could pay dividends to the partners.
We think its a smart move work together on projects that have regional significance, and this is one way to do exactly that.
As the area grows, so does the chance to better the economic futures of all involved.
