Springville officials have it right. They see the importance of getting the kids in the community up and out and getting them involved in something positive.That’s why they set aside a special day on May 24 at Big Springs Park to invite children in the community to come and fish. The Second Annual “Take a Kid Fishing” day will be held at the park from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and offers an opportunity to for kids and adults alike to be part of this fun event.
And it is a chance to give some of these children a special memory – the catching of their very first fish.
We commend all involve in this event. It is a special way to get kids involved in outdoor activities and help them see the value in community events like these.
