Tip of the hat

04-25-2008

Springville officials have it right. They see the importance of getting the kids in the community up and out and getting them involved in something positive.

That’s why they set aside a special day on May 24 at Big Springs Park to invite children in the community to come and fish. The Second Annual “Take a Kid Fishing” day will be held at the park from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and offers an opportunity to for kids and adults alike to be part of this fun event.

And it is a chance to give some of these children a special memory – the catching of their very first fish.

We commend all involve in this event. It is a special way to get kids involved in outdoor activities and help them see the value in community events like these.
