WILLIAM EMMETT ALLISON JR.LEEDS — William Emmett Allison Jr., age 81, passed away July 12, 2008 at St. Vincent's East after a lengthy illness. Mr. Allison is preceded in death by his parents, William Emmett Allison Sr. and Sadie Naomi Allison (Weldon). He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Joyce Corine Smith Allison of Leeds; three daughters, Deborah I. Hawkins (Donald) of Leeds, Sandra Gayle McCrory (Dale) of Odenville, Sherri L. Ferreira (Ron) of Leeds; son, James "Jim" William Allison (Anna) of Weaver; six grandsons, Chris Hawkins (Patti), David McCrory (Dawn), Jason McCrory (Windi), Jon McCrory, Joshua Hawkins (Sally) and Blake Allison; one granddaughter, Tori Allison; six great grandsons, Kaleb, Austin and Shawn Hawkins, Jordon, Joe and Kelan McCrory; one great granddaughter, Katie McCrory; sister, Patricia Files (Jimmy); and brother, Ellis S. Allison. Mr. Allison's grandsons served as pallbearers and honorary pallbearers were his nephews. Funeral service was held Tuesday, July 15, at 2 p.m. at Kilgroe Funeral Home Leeds with burial at Forest Crest Cemetery. Kilgroe Funeral Home in Leeds directed the service.

SPRINGVILLE — Funeral service for Mr. Jimmy Joe Hazel, 64, was Thursday, July 10, at 2 p.m. at Usrey Chapel, Pell City. the Rev. Paul Williams officiated. Burial was in Pine Forest Cemetery. Mr. Hazel died Sunday, July 6, 2008 in Birmingham. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was a member of Pine Forest Baptist Church and of the Northeast Hunting Club. He was preceded in death by a son, Jeff Hazel; and by a grandson, Matthew Hazel. He was preceded in death by his father, Grover Hazel; and sisters, Mary Herndon and Betty Crouse. Survivors are his wife, Fran Hazel; daughters, Joy (David) Tracy of Pleasant Grove, Renae (Roger) Gray of Minor and Wendy Parker of Birmingham; son, Wesley (Diane) Hazel of Forestdale; mother, Jemmie Hazel of Trussville; sisters, Darthey (Ken) Jackson and Mischelle (Terry) DeWitt both of Springville; brothers, William (Kathy) Hazel of Troy and Jerry (Linda) Hazel of Trussville; five granddaughters and six grandsons. CENTER POINT — Funeral service for Mrs. Bette J. (White) Muncher, 73, will be Thursday, July 17, at 11 a.m. at Usrey Chapel, Pell City, with the Rev. Roger Kendrick officiating. Burial will be in Ragland United Methodist Cemetery. Mrs. Muncher died Saturday, July 12, 2008. She was an employee of the Jefferson County Board of Education for 25 years. Bette was a wonderful and very loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. The family would like to thank all their friends and relatives for the calls, cards and concern during their time of needed prayers and support with a special thanks to New Beacon Hospice. Bette was preceded in death by her parents, Earnest and Inez White; and by her brother, Donald White all of Ragland. Interment was in Lexington Cemetery in Lexington, Mich. Mrs. Partridge died July 9, 2008. She is survived by her husband, Jimmy Partridge Sr.; parents, James and Anna Navarre; step-son, Jimmy Partridge Jr.; step-daughters, Deborah Lynn Chasse and Mary Ann Partridge; sister, Judith Niedjelski; sister-in-law, Joyce (Ervin) Barber; and seven grandchildren.
