JOSEPH EDMOND BUTLER JR. PELL CITY — Joseph Edmond Butler Jr., 71, passed away April 30, 2008 in Pell City. He is survived by his wife, Marjolaine A. Peterson; sons, Joseph E. Butler III, William R. Butler and Lance K. Butler; daughter, Jeanne B. Aull; grandson, Cpl. Joshua D. Aull; and mother, Boyd "Boots" Butler. Usrey Funeral Home in Pell City will announce arrangements at a later date. THELMA GAITHER JONES PELL CITY — Mrs. Thelma Gaither Jones, 85, died Sunday, May 4, 2008. She was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy faith. Preceded in death by her husband, John D. "Bob" Jones; by a son, Claude C. Summerlin, Jr., and by 3 sisters, Ruby Furguson, Eula McDaniel, and Beulah Fikes. She is survived by sons, Jerry Wayne (Nancy) Summerlin of Ashville, Johnny Jones of Newton, Ala.; sister, Betty Frances Gaither of Pell City; caregivers, Peggy Mims & Patsy Elliott, several grandchildren & great grandchildren, 1 great great grandson; nieces and nephews. ANN FRANCES KING ASHVILLE — Funeral services for Ann Frances King, 76 was Monday, May 5, 2008 at 1:30 p.m. at Usrey Funeral Home in Pell City with the Pastor Ken Jones officiating. Burial was in St. Clair Memorial Gardens. She went home to be with the Lord on May 1, 2008. She was an avid Bingo player and loved her family. She was preceded in death by her son s Jack and William King and her daughter-in-law Bonnie King. She is survived by her husband, Robert Nabors of Pinedale Shores; sons, David King of Pell City, James King of Ashville, Michael (Lula) King of Odenville; step-son Alan Nabors of Ashville;daughter, Alice Bailey of Pindale Shores; brothers, Walter Tegan of Ashville. ASHVILLE — Funeral service for James Patrick Massey, 66, was Tuesday, May 6, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Kilgroe Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Cool Springs Cemetery. Mr. Massey passed away May 3, 2008 He is survived by his wife Judy Horsley Massey; daughters, Patty Hansen (Jack) and Pamela Massey; son, James Massey Jr. (Debbie), six sisters, one brother; grandchildren, Gregrory Wise, Felicia Hansen, Crystal Wise, Caleb Wise, and Nicolas Hansen. Kilgroe Funeral Home, Leeds directed the service. ROBERT LEE NELSON MARGARET — Robert Lee Nelson, age 92, died Monday, May 5, 2008. He is survived by daughters, Thelma Whisenhunt (Charles), Kay Peoples (Bobby Joe), Sue McLaughlin (Larry) and Joyce Nelson; son, Tim Nelson (Susie); sister, Mary Edith Moore; brother, Elton Nelson; 21 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren and 11 great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gladis Nelson; sons, Ottis Nelson and Robert Lee Nelson III; daughter, Loraine Nelson; grandson, Edward Whisenhunt. Services will be at Thursday, May 8, at 2 p.m.at Low Gap Methodist Church with burial in the adjoining cemetery. Mr. Nelson will lie in state from 1 p.m. until service time at the church. She is survived by her daughter, Sheila Walker (Ronald); son, Wally Newton (Penny); grandchildren, Angel Stephens (Zeke), Tiffany Harris (Ed), Blake Stephens (Marley), Lance, Lyndsey, Landan and Logan Newton; great grandchildren, Tyler, Tucker, Riley and Olivia Stephens, Alex Zilewicz. She was preceded in death by her husband, John T. Newton; sister, Faye Cole; brothers, Louie Adkins, Gordon Adkins and Warden Adkins. HANSEL EDISON RAMSEY PELL CITY — Funeral services for Hansel Edison Ramsey, 76, were Wednesday, May 7 at New Hope Baptist Church with burial in Boykin-Truitt Cemetery. Mr. Ramsey died May 4, 2008. He is preceded in death by his parents Luther & Susie Ramsey, brothers, Harold & Edmon Ramsey, sister, Lucille Goodwin, and grandson Wesley Ramsey. He is survived by wife, Sybil Ramsey; sons, Steve (Cathy) Ramsey; Mike (Wanda) Ramsey; Scott (Phyllis) Ramsey; grandchildren, Cory (Jessica) Ramsey; Amy (Joseph) Franklin, Niki Ramsey, Irena Ramsey, Jason Ramsey, Skyler Ramsey, Sheree Forister; great-grandchildren, Anna, Jasmine, Christian, Emily, Lindsey, Madison. He is survived by daughter, Kristen Trammell of Ragland; son, Dalton Trammell of Ragland; mother, Shirley Buttram of Ragland; sister, Taffy (Rickey) Johnson of Ragland, Tammy (Lee) Bearden of Ashville, Stephanie (Rodney) Trammell of Albertville; several nieces and nephews. Zane Smith officiating. Interment was in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Mrs. Williams died Monday, May 5, 2008. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Sherri Marie Williams, son, Tony Williams, mother, Kathleen Evans, father, Horace Evans, brothers, Roy Evans and Howard Evans. She is survived by her son, Michael (Pam) Williams; daughter, Cheryl (Mark) Sides; sisters, Glenda Lee, Mary Lou Keller; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
