A Riverside woman was killed in a single vehicle accident Saturday night.St. Clair County Coroner Dennis Russell said Joyce Pickett, 47, was traveling a mile west of Ragland on Alabama 144 when her 2003 Mercury Sable left the road and overturned at approximately 8:40 p.m. She was ejected from the vehicle.
Russell said Pickett was pronounced dead at 9:40 p.m. The cause of death was head trauma.
Russell said the accident is still under investigation by the Alabama State Troopers.
