The cast of more than 50 has been tuning up and practicing since January for the Crossroads Christian School’s production of the Rodgers and Hammerstein’s classic “Oklahoma!”Rehearsals have continued all this week in preparation for the show’s debut April 17-18, at 7 p.m. and Saturday April 19, at 2 p.m.
“Oklahoma!” is a drama production directed by Kristen Sharp and cast by the school’s upper division of students.
Crossroads Christian is committed to promoting theater and drama education to its students, said parent Carol Hornsby.
In the past, students at Crossroads Christian have successfully brought many classics to the local stage, including “Anne of Green Gables”, “Fiddler on the Roof”, “Pirates of Penzance”, “Our Miss Brooks”, and “Seven Brides for Seven Brothers”.
The elementary division also does yearly theater productions.
Tickets for “Oklahoma!” are $5 for all ages and are available at the door.
The play will be performed at Springville First United Methodist Church’s Christian Life Center located at 6471 U.S. 11 in Springville.
